About Adriel High School

It s an English medium, co-educational school, affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
Adriel High School is located in Rohini, Sector 24, Pocket – 2, approximately 2 kms from the Rithala Metro Station. The school’s elementary wing is located at ND Block, Pitampura. Adriel High provides all aspiring students academic excellence, moral credibility and a child friendly environment stressing on the holistic development of the child. Student learning is the prime focus of the school. The commitment to continuous improvement is imperative and our school will enable students to become confident, self reliant and interactive learners.
Motto
The school motto “Potens Ad Factum has been very carefully designed and chosen, encompassing our visionary focus which states “Create Your Own History”. Discovering the potential in every child is our earnest endeavor and all our classroom teaching, co-curricular activities and hands-on opportunities are focused towards this objective. The school promotes four basic slogans, which are: To Conquer (Tigris), To Dare (Aquila), To Rule (Leo), To Win (pavo).

At Adriel High we follow a logical model of education which measure success by the accomplishments and attitudes of our students. We believe that all our students can succeed and their success spurs them on to greater heights. We ensure this by incorporating the following measures:

Infrastructure
The building of the school is architecturally well designed and furnished that provides all the facilities to the students. The classrooms are big, spacious and air-conditioned which are also enabled with the facility of smart classes.
Science Laboratories
At Adriel High School, science is taught through direct experience, with students making meaning of the world as a result of their discoveries. Children are encouraged to inquire, observe, hypothesize experiment, collect, record and analyze data and come up with conclusions and generalizations about the phenomenon under study.
The school boosts well maintained and fully equipped science laboratories which cater to the needs of the students. These include Biology Lab, Physics Lab, Chemistry Lab and Mathematics Lab. They are places where students can carry out the experiments as per the curriculum that is followed in the school.
IT Infrastructure
Although myriad approaches have been proposed for improving education in India, one common and effective element of many such plans is more extensive and effective utilization of the computer. Adriel High is committed towards achieving the best use of technology. It maintains ample resources to support this curricular program. Technology is not taught for its own sake, but used to enhance students learning experience. Computers and internet access are used in a variety of ways and each use may have an independent effect on student learning.
Therefore at Adriel High children will be introduced to computers right from an early age. The curriculum for Computer Science in the junior classes is not a rigid one since Adriel High aims at imparting the usage of computers as a tool and not as a subject. Computer Lab with hi tech systems is there in the school to cater the need for computer studies.
Art Room
Art is vital part of the curriculum at Adriel High School for children of all ages. Through art, children can recreate and integrate curriculum experiences including concepts of subjects like social studies, language, arts, science and mathematics. They create art in their classrooms and the art room, where they share their wonderful ideas both visually and verbally. They learn to value their uniqueness as creative individuals and learn from and respect the diversity of other’s art work.
Music
Music is a multifaceted program designed to allow children to experience music by singing, playing instruments, listening, creating and moving to it. Children acquire a workable knowledge of musical concepts and theory, together with a level of skills that enables them to generate music with their classmates. Educators encourage all children, regardless of their ability to acquire listening, interpretive, rhythmic and melodic skills. For the same, a fully equipped music room is maintained by the school.
Physical Education
Physical Education program at Adriel High School has three goals. The first and perhaps the broadest, is to help children feel good about their bodies. Instructors encourage students to take perfectly safe risks by trying out new activities, expressing themselves through movements and engaging in spatial/physical problem solving. The second goal is to help children develop and refine skills, strategies, competencies and fitness through their involvement in games and sports. In realizing this goal, children learn how the body works through exercise, and how to maintain the body’s well being through regular exercise and fitness routines. The third goal involves social learning. This includes learning good sportsmanship, that is, how to play co-operatively with team members and by the rules and the proper way to act when you win and when you lose. It also includes learning how to enjoy wholesome physical activity on a regular basis.
In physical education, as in other areas of the curriculum, staff members encourage and support the participation of all students in activities and allow the children to develop at their own pace, free from any pressure to perform at certain skill levels at a particular age. The school provides facilities for Basketball, Badminton, Taekwondo, Skating, Cricket, Football, Yoga, Aerobics, Volleyball, Lawn Tennis and Table Tennis.
Medical Room
There is a trained nurse and a medical room which caters to routine medical problems. This is an extension of the school’s philosophy of providing a safe and secure environment where every child is cared for. In case of ill health or accidents, the medical supervisor would administer first-aid and authorities would immediately inform the parents/guardians about the same. All children will undergo an annual check up and a health file will be maintained for each student.
Cafeteria
There is a cafeteria in the school campus. This area will serve as a relaxation zone for students and will serve to foster good interpersonal relations among peers. A healthy and nutritious menu will be available for the students. Students may buy eatables and soft drinks only during the recess hours. Canteen coupons will be available for purchase by students and parents. Children will not be allowed to bring money to school. This is to incorporate the healthy practice where money does not create unwarranted problems in case it is lost.
Transport
The school provides transport facilities on selected routes but is unable to guarantee any extension of existing facilities. Care would be taken to ensure that the students are accompanied on the routes by a responsible adult.
